Share your views on language services in the local NHS

Sefton patients are being urged to share their views on language services used in the NHS across Liverpool.

The team at NHS Liverpool Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) are asking people for virws on services including interpreters, translated materials, and alternative format information.

Currently each local NHS organisation is responsible for organising their own language services, but sometimes this has led to variations in quality of service and poor patient experience. As part of improving care for patients who depend on language services, the local NHS is now looking at ways to introduce a more consistent approach to contracting arrangements across all health services in Liverpool and Sefton.

This includes the care provided in local hospitals, GP surgeries, GP out of hours, community healthcare, and mental health services. To help inform planning, between now and the end of October, the CCG is seeking the views of language service users, health professionals, community groups, and language service providers.

People can share their views by filling out a short online questionnaire at www.liverpoolccg.nhs.uk or by requesting a paper version of the questionnaire by calling 0151 247 6409, emailing communications@liverpoolccg.nhs.uk, or texting 07920 206 386. These contact details can also be used to request this information in another language or format, if required. […]
