Translation firm accused of misleading law courts
BBC London has learned that a private company, which provides interpreters to courts, is being accused of using the details of dozens of language experts who do not even work for it.
It is claimed that Applied Language Solutions does it to make it look like it can provide enough linguists to the legal system for which it is paid tens of millions of pounds. The company denies any wrongdoing.
In this report BBC London's Victoria Hollins talks to Geoffrey Buckingham of the Association of Police and Court Interpreters, interpreter George Serbanescu and Ian Kelcey of the Law Society
