Grantham court: Lithuanian
man’s case adjourned to arrange interpreter
A
Lithuanian man charged with assault by beating has had his case adjourned so
that an interpreter can be arranged.
Valentinas
Jersovas, 23, of First Avenue, Grantham, faces one count of assault against
another on January 16 at Cambridge Street.
The
defendant has not yet entered a plea, with magistrates agreeing
with the
defence that a Lithuanian interpreter was required
before the case can proceed.
Jersovas
is due to appear again at Grantham on February 23, and in the meantime is on
conditional bail to reside at his given address, to not contact the complainant
by any means, and to not enter Cambridge Street.
