Man who struck interpreter detained under
hospital order
A Polish man who struck a
police interpreter following a disturbance in Spalding has been detained under
a hopsital order.

Mr Straw told the court Paluch was given an interpreter but began
behaving in an “erratic manner.”
“He was twice stood up to leave the interview room,” Mr Straw added. “On
the third occasion he struck the interpreter in the jaw and then pushed him in
the chest.
“The interpreter did not remember being struck but it was seen by the
police officer and he felt pain and discomfort in his jaw.”
Paluch was charged with common assault and possession of two bladed
articles following the incident on April. 21.
