Applied Language Solutions founder quits
The chief executive of translation business Applied Language Solutions has left the firm he founded less than a year after it was bought by support services Capita.

Delph-based ALS, which has more than 130 staff, has been embroiled in controversy after it won a Ministry of Justice contract worth up to £60m. Hundreds of interpreters refused to sign up to the service, complaining of poor rates of pay and conditions, and judges said dozens of cases had to be cancelled because ALS had been unable to find enough staff.
